Didn't draw too much today. Tried the one piece proportions but it is pretty intense anatomically. Then the random straight from the brain without thinking drawings.

I went back on the original picture to see what was wrong with this drawing because it looked so off. The picture was overlaid on the drawing but the only thing that was off was her thickness around her lower hips. I guess it throws off the perspective because its out of proportion...?
Not feeling so motivated to draw! I need to find a new site for reference for girls... The blog i used to go doesnt update as much anymore. Gonna try to copy some styles from different anime the next few days.

This is my current sketchbook. Ive been busy with school so i haven’t been drawing too frequently. I’ve finally started drawing girls with clothes. It seems like the proportions are off from the torso to the hips. It could be because I'm unfamiliar with drawing clothes...
This sketchbook was the big turning point for my drawings. I watched David Finch’s “Dynamic Figure Drawing” and “Hands and Feet” video which changed my perspectives completely. By drawing the torso and waist as a “vessel” it is much easier to keep everything in proportion.
getting serious. Knowing how the internal structure works is more important to draw humans from imagination.
The Squiggly line method. It is very useful when you are uncomfortable drawing something. It is very flexible and forgiving.
New sketch book. Interested in combination of realistic+anime face. Still trying to get the figures down as well.
New sketch book. same same same + trying to draw from imagination more.
